Mar bella Artist
Mar Bella artist works with unique pieces called “PANOTS DE BARCELONA,” the tiles that pave the streets of Barcelona.
After a long journey… from the streets of Barcelona… to the city’s sea that transforms them at will, no two pieces are the same. They are UNIQUE because they come from the sea of Barcelona, where the artist collects them one by one, piece by piece.
From this unique piece, the artist works in the studio to create compositions using wood, wrought iron, and glass, creating artworks that add sophistication to any space—homes, commercial spaces, hotels—ensuring the exclusivity of each piece.
Unique pieces without transformation or the artist’s compositions are available for sale.

Rosa panot
Traditionally, the design has been attributed to the famous architect Josep Puig I Cadafalch. This is because the tiles at Casa Ametller are similar to this design. However, there are some differences in relief, and most importantly, there is no documented evidence. Today, this is a very common design on the streets of Barcelona.

Tauletes panot
The Taulete panot has two great virtues. First, it can be constructed in small sections without the difference being noticeable. Second, it facilitates water drainage, one of the key aspects for avoiding problems.

Panot with four tiles and circles
This design aims to combine the functionality of the Taulete panot with the appeal of the Rosa panot. Although it is not the most common, it is not too difficult to find it on the streets of Barcelona.

Ensaimada panot
The Ensaimada panot, named for its concentric shape that resembles the traditional Mallorcan pastry, is quite uncommon. In any case, it is important to note that it is no longer used in the city’s pavement today.

Calavera panot
The Calavera panot is one of the designs that have been abandoned and have not yet been restored. Despite the potential to spread darkness, the majority of Barcelona residents became accustomed to it.
